Each year we host an Oktoberfest to celebrate good times with friends, families, & business associates. And each year, we incorporate a fundraiser to give back to selected charities in our community.
In this year's fundraiser, we featured the Wheel of Charity! Guests were invited to buy a spin on the Wheel of Charity - and could win a various choice of prizes, including a chance to win a 42" HDTV!
If they landed on a spot that was designated to a specific charity, that charity would receive that money! And the Charity that was landed on the most, received the secondary pot!
The winning charity in the Wheel of Charity was The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp!
Not only do they win the $5 for each spin that landed on their charity, they also win the secondary pot of $315, which UCR has promised to match!
In addition, for the other four charities represented on the wheel, not only will they win the $5 for each spin that landed on their charity, UCR added $100 to each charity’s pot!
The breakdown for each charity’s donation is below:
Hole in the Wall Gang Camp = $695
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation = $145
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation = $135
Yale Cancer Center = $130
Camp Rising Sun = $105
